Philadelphia, PA (October 7, 2010) – There have been many proposed and implemented changes to environmental laws concerning waste and water regulations. Often, these can involve increased fees or fines and can be confusing, leaving many companies unfamiliar with the new laws or unsure if they are in compliance. To help businesses in this area, the Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry will have three conferences across Pennsylvania featuring top experts and experienced professionals to guide individuals through compliance details and offer practical steps and best practices to comply cost-efficiently. Michael Meloy, a partner at Manko, Gold, Katcher & Fox, LLP (MGKF), will be one of a group of speakers addressing these issues.
The initial conference, entitled, "Waste and Water Environmental Regulations, and How to Develop an Integrated Spill Response Plan," was held on Tuesday, October 5 at the Sheraton Pittsburgh North in Mars, PA. Two subsequent programs will be held on the same topic on Tuesday, October 19 at the Sheraton Harrisburg-Hershey in Harrisburg; and Wednesday, October 27 at the Crowne Plaza Valley Forge in King of Prussia.
