MGKF Presented at Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry 2016 Annual Environmental Conference
Manko, Gold, Katcher & Fox (MGKF) partners Bart Cassidy, Michael Meloy and Rodd Bender presented at the 2016 Annual Environmental Conference of the Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry in Lancaster, Pennsylvania on April 13, 2016. Cassidy’s panel on Air Compliance touched upon a variety of compliance issues and enforcement initiatives and included: PA’s RACT II program, revised ozone NAAQs, SO2 attainment standards, CO2 emission regulations, Title V permits, state air quality regulations, as well as new developments in federal air quality regulations, including relative to MACT standards and startup and shutdown scenarios.
Meloy and Bender teamed up to provide an in-depth presentation on requirements for residual and hazardous waste generators in Pennsylvania. This program helped attendees gain a better understanding of what materials qualify as wastes, when recycled materials do not qualify as wastes, what types of requirements apply to hazardous and waste generators (including the various forms that residual waste generators must complete), recent significant proposed changes in the hazardous waste generator requirements, and particular requirements relating to clean fill, waste oil, electronic waste, and the oil and gas industry.
