The Philadelphia Water Department ("PWD") is sending out revised bills that completely change the way PWD charges non-residential property owners for stormwater management services.  With this change, some property owners will see their bills decrease, and some bills will increase, in some cases significantly.

Manko, Gold, Katcher & Fox, LLP ("MGKF") recently sponsored a breakfast seminar with representatives of PWD to discuss and analyze the new stormwater billing system.  PWD acknowledged that there might be factual errors in some of the new bills, and has instituted procedures to correct any errors.  In addition, the panel of speakers discussed ways in which property owners could make physical changes to their property to better manage stormwater and reduce their PWD stormwater bill.

If you have recently received your new PWD stormwater invoice and have questions about it that you would like to discuss with us, please feel free to contact Joe Manko (jmanko@mgkflaw.com), Jonathan Rinde (jrinde@mgkflaw.com), Bridget Dorfman (bdorfman@mgkflaw.com) or any of the lawyers at MGKF at 484-430-5700.  We are ready to assist you in understanding the bill, correcting errors, and investigating ways that the billed amount can be reduced.
