MGKF's Public Funding Group Identifies Upcoming Energy and Environmental Funding Opportunities
The Obama Administration has made energy efficiency, renewable energy development and reinvestment in the nation's environmental infrastructure a funding priority, as it addresses the worst economic conditions in recent times. Through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, a.k.a. the federal stimulus legislation, billions of dollars have been earmarked nationwide to accomplish these objectives through grant and loan programs administered at the federal, state and local levels.
Because of the significant energy and environmental component to the stimulus funds, Manko, Gold, Katcher & Fox, LLP has formed a practice group to assist our clients in identifying funding opportunities and applying for those funds, whether they be federal stimulus funds or other governmental funding programs dedicated to environmental and energy concerns.
This effort was initiated with our well-attended seminar in March 2009 featuring federal and state officials who explained the many new stimulus funding opportunities. Since that time, MGKF has assisted a variety of clients in identifying stimulus related public funding opportunities and preparing applications. These activities supplement our ongoing efforts to assist clients in obtaining public funds from the various environmental and energy public funding programs that pre-existed the stimulus legislation.
To facilitate the identification of these energy and environmental funding opportunities, we have prepared a list of upcoming application deadlines. Project planners would be wise to always consider potential public funding opportunities as part of their projects.
MGKF will regularly update this list, and will send periodic email reminders of public funding opportunities to our clients and friends. If you have questions in the meantime, please contact us for further information. Please also let us know of others who may want to receive these periodic updates.
