Borrelli commented on the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) update to soil remediation standards for 19 contaminants---revisions that experts said could affect the costs of cleaning up contaminated sites. Borrelli noted that responsible parties still face separate standards relative to groundwater contamination.
