MGKF’s Vaccaro and Nines Present “Internal Environmental Auditing” at the CCNJ’s Plant Operations Management Workshop

Manko, Gold, Katcher & Fox Partner Katherine L. Vaccaro and Technical Consultant Michael C. Nines, P.E., LEED AP presented on “Internal Environmental Auditing: Best Practices for the Audit Process & Protecting the Findings” at the 2019 Chemistry Council of New Jersey’s Plant Operations Management Workshop in Princeton, NJ on December 4. The program addressed the importance of clearly defining the audit scope from the start, the benefits of getting a lawyer involved early on to make sure the information collected is protected under attorney privilege doctrines, and, most critically, what to do when an audit reveals potential noncompliance with applicable regulatory or permit-based requirements.
